About
Puna Studio

Puna is a multidisciplinary design studio based in Lima, founded in 2010 by visual artist Yerko Zlatar and interior designer Mariana Otero. The studio develops projects spanning interior design, art direction, brand identity, and graphic design, approaching each commission as a system in which space, image, and materiality are articulated in an integrated way.

Its practice is grounded in the research of context, history, and materials, seeking proposals that are coherent with their surroundings rather than the application of a predefined style. Through this approach, the studio creates projects that engage in dialogue with their environment and incorporate local knowledge into their processes.

Puna works closely with artisans and small workshops, prioritizing the use of local materials and small-scale production. This way of working not only defines the final outcome, but also forms part of the conceptual foundation of each project.

Alongside its commissioned work, the studio develops its own line of products, including textiles, furniture, and objects produced in collaboration with different craftspeople and trades. Its practice is understood as an expanded field in which design operates from the spatial to the graphic through a shared logic of coherence and synthesis.
